A capsule-laying ceremony was held in the Kyzylorda Region to mark the launch of a new glass recycling and glass container manufacturing plant.
The project is being implemented with financial support from Zhasyl Damu JSC and the Industrial Development Fund JSC and is set to become one of the largest environmental and industrial facilities in the region.
The project is initiated by Seven Rivers Technologies LLP, led by Anuar Saktaganuly Umbetayev. The future plant will specialize in the recycling of glass waste and the production of glass bottles. The facility is expected to have an annual production capacity of up to 240 million glass containers.
The total investment in the project is estimated at KZT 60 billion. As part of its implementation, 250 new jobs will be created, making a significant contribution to the regional economy and employment growth. The plant is scheduled to be commissioned in phases between 2026 and 2028.
"The implementation of such projects is of strategic importance for the development of a circular economy and the promotion of green industry in Kazakhstan. The new plant will not only reduce the volume of glass waste but also supply the domestic market with locally produced glass containers, thereby decreasing dependence on imports," said Serikbol Kaliakbarov, Director of the Investment Projects Department at Zhasyl Damu JSC.
The project represents an important step in strengthening the country's environmental infrastructure, increasing waste recycling rates, and promoting the adoption of modern environmental standards in industry. In addition, the launch of the plant will create new opportunities for small and medium-sized businesses and enhance the investment attractiveness of the Kyzylorda Region.
