Kazakhstan continues to strengthen measures to protect the environment. Jasyl Damu JSC has financed projects to protect forests and develop the material base of organizations responsible for wildlife protection in the amount of more than 8.5 billion tenge.
Funding of over 6.19 billion tenge was allocated for the acquisition of an early forest fire detection system. The funds were provided through the Industrial Development Fund JSC. The modern software and hardware complex has been implemented in several regions of the country:
in Akmola region – KSU "Kuibyshev ULH", KSU "Bukpa ULH", KSU "Akkol ULH", KSU "Krasnobor ULH" and KSU "Kenes ULH";
in Astana city – RSE on REM "Zhasyl Aimaq";
in Kostanay region – RSE "Naurzum State Nature Reserve".
The system is designed for continuous forest monitoring and enables the prompt detection of fire outbreaks. The organization noted that the introduction of this technology helps significantly reduce damage from forest and steppe fires during the fire-prone season.
In addition, through recycling fee funds, JSC Jasyl Damu has financed the development of the material base of environmental protection structures in the amount of 2.41 billion tenge. The funds were used to purchase domestically produced equipment that meets environmental requirements defined by technical regulations. The list included all-wheel-drive SUVs, high-passability trucks (including refrigerated meat carriers), as well as wheeled tractors with mounted equipment. All the machinery has already been transferred to specialized organizations engaged in the protection, reproduction, and use of wildlife.
JSC Jasyl Damu emphasizes that it will continue its systematic work on financing environmental projects. Plans include further implementation of modern technologies, infrastructure modernization, and the expansion of programs aimed at improving the state of the environment.
