JSC Jasyl Damu to support the construction of a cardboard and paper plant in Aktobe

JSC Jasyl Damu and Capital Plast KZ LLP have signed an agreement on the joint implementation of a large investment project – the construction of a modern cardboard and paper production plant in the city of Aktobe.

The initiator of the project is Capital Plast KZ LLP, one of the largest players in Kazakhstan’s packaging market.

The total investment amounts to 12.28 billion tenge. Financing of 10.27 billion tenge is provided through Industrial Development Fund JSC in the form of a preferential loan at 3% per annum for up to 7 years, allocated by Jasyl Damu JSC using funds from the utilization payment.

The design capacity of the enterprise will be 42,000 tons of products per year. It is planned to produce 18,000 tons of corrugating paper and 24,000 tons of linerboard. After the launch of production, 200 new jobs will be created.

The implementation of the project will significantly increase waste paper recycling, which will make an important contribution to waste reduction and the development of a closed-loop cycle in the packaging industry, helping preserve 32 million green plant units. The new plant will become a driver of the regional economy and a platform for the introduction of modern, environmentally oriented technologies.

“For us, this is not just an investment in production – it is an investment in ecology, innovation, and the future of the country. The new plant will allow Kazakhstan to reduce its dependence on imported packaging, provide the market with high-quality domestic products, and at the same time reduce the environmental burden,” said a representative of Jasyl Damu JSC.

Capital Plast KZ LLP has a branch network in 11 cities of Kazakhstan and serves more than 800 clients across the country. The new production complex will be an important step in the company’s strategy to develop the national packaging industry.
