A meeting between JSC “Zhasyl Damu” and the National Social Democratic Party (NSDP) on the EcoQolday waste separation project was held in Astana

JSC “Zhasyl Damu,” together with the National Social Democratic Party (NSDP), held a meeting with representatives of homeowners’ associations (OSIs) and housing cooperatives (KSKs) of Astana. The event took place at the party’s venue within the framework of the national initiative “Taza Kazakhstan” and focused on the implementation of the pilot project EcoQolday.

The main topic of discussion was the introduction of a system for the separate collection and sorting of municipal solid waste, which will allow residents of the capital to recycle paper, plastic, and glass. The proceeds will be directed to the benefit of KSKs and OSIs and used to improve the infrastructure of residential complexes, including the landscaping of courtyards and the installation of specialized containers and recycling points.

The EcoQolday project aims not only to reduce the volume of solid household waste but also to foster a new environmental culture among the population. At the initial stage, 10 large residential complexes in Astana will be involved as pilot participants in the program.

During the meeting, participants discussed the mechanisms for introducing a specialized digital platform, strategies for motivating residents, and further cooperation to expand the project’s reach.

JSC “Zhasyl Damu” will continue its active efforts to develop environmental initiatives and invites all interested parties to take part in the implementation of the EcoQolday project.
