Residents of Taldykorgan can earn income by сдаing recyclables through EcoQolday

As part of the implementation of the environmental initiative “Taza Kazakhstan,” systematic work is ongoing to engage regions in separate waste collection with the opportunity to generate income through the EcoQolday mobile application.

Zhasyl Damu JSC, in cooperation with the Nationwide Democratic Party of Kazakhstan and with the participation of the Department of Ecology of the Zhetysu Region, held a roundtable meeting in the city of Taldykorgan with representatives of housing cooperatives. The main topic of the meeting was the involvement of residents in the automated EcoQolday system.

During the event, a representative of Zhasyl Damu JSC, Saken Shaimurat, provided a detailed explanation of how the information system operates. He noted that every resident can earn additional income by сдаing plastic and paper waste for recycling. At the same time, the process is максимально simplified and accessible, requiring minimal effort.

Special attention was given to the discussion of the environmental initiative “Clean Home – Clean Country,” aimed at actively involving associations of property owners and housing cooperatives in organizing separate collection and sorting of recyclable materials, followed by their transfer to recycling enterprises.

The roundtable was attended by representatives of associations of property owners and housing cooperatives of multi-apartment residential buildings in Taldykorgan, companies engaged in the collection and sorting of recyclables, as well as representatives of government bodies.

The implementation of these initiatives has a significant social and environmental impact on the region. It contributes to reducing landfill volumes, developing separate waste collection infrastructure, supporting domestic recycling enterprises, and fostering environmental awareness among the population.
