Safeguarding the Forests of Pavlodar Region

In Pavlodar Region, SRO-1 early forest fire detection systems help monitor natural areas around the clock. The systems automatically detect signs of fire and transmit information to dispatch centres, enabling a prompt response to potential threats.

Video surveillance and intelligent analytics make it possible to identify the earliest signs of fire and quickly deploy response teams to the affected area. When it comes to protecting forests, which can take decades to recover, every minute matters.

JSC Zhasyl Damu has allocated more than KZT 1 billion from recycling fee proceeds for the deployment of early fire detection systems and the development of the necessary infrastructure in Pavlodar Region. The work is being carried out as part of the President’s environmental initiative, Taza Qazaqstan, with the support of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Overall, JSC Zhasyl Damu has allocated KZT 16.9 billion for the implementation of early fire detection systems. A total of 14 SRO-1 systems have been supplied to seven regions of Kazakhstan.
