Waste Tire Recycling Capacity Increased in Shymkent

With the support of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the modernization of an existing waste tire recycling facility in Shymkent has been completed. Thanks to funding from recycling fees allocated by Zhasyl Damu JSC, the annual production capacity of ECO Shina LLP has increased from 6,000 to 10,000 tonnes.

In September 2024, Zhasyl Damu JSC allocated KZT 500 million for the modernization of the facility. The funds have been fully utilized, and the upgraded production facilities have been commissioned.

The enterprise processes waste tires into rubber granules, which are used to manufacture surfaces for children's playgrounds. The facility also produces technical rubber products, including oil seals.

The implementation of the project has increased the enterprise's tire recycling capacity by 4,000 tonnes per year and expanded the use of secondary raw materials in the manufacture of finished products.

It should be noted that Zhasyl Damu JSC has financed 30 projects totaling approximately KZT 116 billion using funds collected through recycling fees. The implementation of these projects contributes to the development of modern waste management infrastructure, increased recycling volumes, reduced waste disposal in landfills, and the integration of secondary raw materials into the economy in accordance with the Environmental Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
