Zhasyl Damu JSC Allocates Over KZT 3.1 Billion to the Semey Ormany Nature Reserve

With the support of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Zhasyl Damu JSC has allocated more than KZT 3.1 billion from recycling fee funds to purchase modern specialized equipment for the Semey Ormany State Forest Nature Reserve in the Abai Region.

The modernization of the reserve’s technical infrastructure is aimed at improving preparedness for the wildfire season, reducing emergency response times, and enhancing the protection of the country's forest resources.

As part of the project, the reserve received 39 fire engines (water tankers), 10 tractors, and 26 all-terrain vehicles, all of which are essential for rapid wildfire response and the implementation of fire prevention measures.

It is worth noting that from 2024 to the present, Zhasyl Damu JSC has allocated more than KZT 33.1 billion from recycling fee funds for the procurement of modern specialized equipment for state national parks, forest nature reserves, nature reserves, and forestry institutions across Kazakhstan.

During this period, 1,006 units of specialized equipment have been supplied to environmental protection organizations to support the prevention and rapid suppression of forest and steppe fires. The equipment includes fire engines, all-terrain vehicles, tractors, and other machinery essential for protecting forest resources and specially protected natural areas.

The implementation of these projects strengthens the material and technical capacity of environmental institutions, enhances their readiness for the wildfire season, and contributes to the preservation of Kazakhstan’s unique forest ecosystems.
