Annual global campaign “World CleanUp Day”

On September 20 of this year, as part of the global World CleanUp Day campaign, a large-scale environmental initiative was carried out across the entire territory of the Republic, aimed at improving the state of the environment and fostering ecological awareness among the population.

The campaign was truly massive: more than 422,000 people across the country took part in clean-up activities, including over 135,000 representatives of government agencies and more than 52,000 volunteers. Young people showed particular activity — students, schoolchildren, members of youth organizations, and volunteer movements. They demonstrated not only a desire to participate but also a willingness to take responsibility for the future of the environment.

During the campaign, various areas were cleaned — from city streets to riverbanks, parks, forest zones, and the outskirts of settlements. In total, about 9,000 hectares of land were cleared, and more than 12,000 tons of waste were collected.

Special attention during the campaign was given to landscaping. As a result of the joint efforts of participants, more than 18,000 trees and shrubs were planted.

The results of the work, the number of participants, and the achievements have been submitted for registration in the KInES Record Book as one of the largest environmental events in the country’s history.

The environmental campaign was held within the framework of the national initiative “Taza Qazaqstan,” aimed at cleaning up territories from household waste, increasing civic responsibility, and strengthening a culture of ecological behavior. The mass clean-up events on this day became a reflection of the common goal — to make the environment cleaner, safer, and healthier for all residents of the country.

We thank each participant for their concern and active position, for their contribution to the preservation of nature, and their sincere care for the future of our country. Even the simplest actions, carried out with responsibility and love for the environment, can become the foundation for great change.
