JSC Zhasyl Damu Allocates Over KZT 2.9 Billion to the Ertis Ormany Reserve

With the support of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, JSC Zhasyl Damu allocated more than KZT 2.9 billion from recycling fee proceeds for the purchase of modern specialized equipment for the Ertis Ormany State Forest Nature Reserve in the Pavlodar Region.

The modernization of the reserve’s material and technical resources is aimed at improving preparedness for the fire-hazard season, reducing response times to wildfires, and increasing the effectiveness of forest protection measures.

As part of the project, the forest nature reserve received 34 fire engines, 7 tractors, and 34 off-road vehicles. In total, 75 units of specialized equipment were purchased to ensure rapid response to wildfires and to carry out fire prevention and firefighting activities.

Since 2024, JSC Zhasyl Damu has allocated more than KZT 33.1 billion from recycling fee proceeds for the purchase of modern specialized equipment for state national nature parks, forest nature reserves, nature reserves, and forestry institutions across the country.

Over this period, 1,006 units of specialized equipment have been purchased for environmental institutions to prevent and promptly extinguish forest and steppe fires. These include fire engines, off-road vehicles, tractors, and other machinery required to protect forests and specially protected natural areas.

The implementation of such projects helps strengthen the material and technical capacity of environmental institutions, improve their preparedness for the fire-hazard season, and preserve Kazakhstan’s forest ecosystems.
