Kazakhstan’s National Pavilion Becomes a Platform for New Environmental Partnerships in Samarkand

As part of the international environmental exhibition ECO EXPO CENTRAL ASIA 2026, held at the Silk Road Samarkand International Exhibition Center, the National Pavilion of the Republic of Kazakhstan served as an important platform for advancing international cooperation in environmental protection, sustainable development, and the implementation of green technologies. As a result of business meetings and negotiations, memorandums on strategic cooperation and intentions to implement joint investment projects were signed between Kazakhstani and foreign organizations.

During the exhibition, the National Pavilion of Kazakhstan was visited by the Governor of the Samarkand Region, Adiz Mazafarovich Boboev, and a representative of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Doniyor Bakhtiyarovich Kadyrov. The guests were introduced to Kazakhstan’s exhibition showcasing modern solutions in waste management, the development of environmental infrastructure, recycling of secondary resources, and the implementation of circular economy principles.

Within the framework of the exhibition, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Central Asian University for Environmental and Climate Change Studies (Green University), operating under the National Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Ecology and Climate Change, and Zhasyl Damu JSC. The document was signed by the University Rector Bakhtiyor Pulatov and the Chairman of the Management Board of Zhasyl Damu JSCYerzhan Sarsenbay. The agreement aims to foster partnership in environmental education, scientific research, the training of qualified specialists, the implementation of innovative environmental solutions, and the development of joint projects in the field of sustainable development.

Kazakhstan’s participation in ECO EXPO CENTRAL ASIA 2026 demonstrates the country’s proactive approach to environmental modernization, the development of a circular economy, and the strengthening of international cooperation. The projects presented and the agreements reached during the exhibition will contribute to expanding cross-border collaboration, attracting investment to the environmental sector, and promoting modern waste recycling technologies.
