The Official Closing Ceremony of the National Environmental Contest “EcoSummer 2025” Took Place

On November 20, 2025, the official closing ceremony of the national environmental contest “EcoSummer 2025” was held in Astana at the Saken Seifullin Kazakh Agro-Technical Research University. The event was organized by the Public Association “Kazakhstan Association of Secondary Raw Materials Recyclers” with the support of official partners — Bank CenterCredit and Zhasyl Damu JSC, which promote sustainable development and green economy projects.

The contest was implemented within the framework of the President’s “Taza Kazakhstan” environmental campaign and aimed to increase public environmental awareness, promote the EcoQolday program, and support outstanding initiatives in waste collection and sorting. The project also sought to foster a culture of responsible consumption among youth, businesses, and the wider community.

The ceremony was attended by Vice Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhomart Aliyev, Chairman of the Management Board of Zhasyl Damu JSC Erzhan Sarsenbay, Executive Director – Branch Director of Bank CenterCredit JSC Dina Seitkazinova, Chairman of the Board–Rector of the Kazakh Agro-Technical University Kanat Tireuov, and Chairman of the Kazakhstan Association of Secondary Raw Materials Recyclers Batyrbek Aubakirov.

This year, active citizens from all regions of the country participated in the contest, publishing nearly 100 environmental video clips on social media. As a result of waste collection and sorting initiatives, almost 100 tons of waste were sent for recycling.

During the official ceremony, winners were awarded in the following categories:

“Young Eco-Ambassador” Category
1st place – Tanyrbergen Amir (Talgar) – 750,000 KZT
2nd place – Kenzheqali Iliyas (Aktobe) – 500,000 KZT
3rd place – Rakhymzhanuly Medet (Astana) – 250,000 KZT

“Eco-Citizen of Kazakhstan” Category
1st place – Berdiev Turlybek Sabitovich (Shymkent) – 750,000 KZT
2nd place – Yusupova Meruert (Talgar) – 500,000 KZT
3rd place – Fomina Natalya (Karaganda) – 250,000 KZT

“Eco-Business” Category
1st place – “Edil i kompaniya” LLP (Rudny) – 1,250,000 KZT
2nd place – “Aquamir” LLP (Astana) – 1,000,000 KZT
3rd place – “Ecomaf” LLP (Astana) – 750,000 KZT

“Digital Eco-Voice” Category
1st place – Nabiev Dulat (Almaty) – 1,250,000 KZT
2nd place – Ogay Dina (Almaty) – 1,000,000 KZT
3rd place – Imanbekova Aruna (Astana) – 750,000 KZT
