Waste Sorting Complex with an Annual Capacity of 150,000 Tonnes Opens in Pavlodar

A new municipal solid waste sorting complex operated by Sortirovochny Tsentr LLP has been officially opened in Pavlodar with the participation of Assain Baikhanov, Akim of Pavlodar Region. The project was implemented with financial support from Zhasyl Damu JSC and the Industrial Development Fund JSC.

The total cost of the project amounts to approximately KZT 3.9 billion. Of this amount, KZT 2.6 billion was provided as loan financing from recycling fee funds, while approximately KZT 1.3 billion was financed from the company’s own resources.

The complex has a design capacity of 150,000 tonnes of municipal solid waste per year. The sorting process will enable the recovery of recyclable materials from incoming waste for further processing and help reduce the volume of waste sent to landfills.

The project provides for the creation of 116 jobs.
