Zhasyl Damu JSC continues its efforts to prevent forest fires and modernize its material and technical base

Another important stage has been implemented in the Akmola region to equip forestry institutions with modern firefighting equipment. With the participation of Vice Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan N. Sharbiyev and Deputy Akim of the Akmola region A. Amrenova, 13 units of new firefighting equipment were handed over to regional forestry institutions.

The equipment is domestically produced and developed based on practical recommendations from forestry specialists. The firefighting vehicles feature high cross-country capability, a 3-ton water tank, a self-protection system, and the ability to extinguish fires while in motion.

In total, 24 firefighting vehicles are planned to be delivered to the Akmola region. Earlier, in 2025, the region received 30 tractors and 31 small forest patrol units.

In recent years, the modernization of the material and technical base of forestry and environmental protection institutions has been carried out systematically. In 2024–2025, 21.5 billion tenge was allocated from the national and local budgets, resulting in the procurement of 92 firefighting vehicles, 118 small forest patrol units, 244 tractors, 240 patrol vehicles, and more than 3,000 other pieces of equipment.

In addition, Zhasyl Damu JSC allocated 35 billion tenge from recycling payments to support the forestry sector, which enabled the purchase of 1,057 units of firefighting equipment, including 333 firefighting vehicles, 350 tractors, and 374 small forest patrol units.

Currently, the delivery of tractors and small forest firefighting units across the country has been fully completed. Additionally, 152 firefighting vehicles have already been delivered. By the end of May this year, an additional 168 firefighting vehicles are planned to be delivered.

The measures being implemented are aimed at equipping state forest owners in high fire-risk regions with modern equipment and improving the effectiveness of forest fire prevention.

Zhasyl Damu JSC will continue to support projects in environmental protection and sustainable development.
