The largest environmental exhibition and forum in the region, ECO EXPO CENTRAL ASIA 2026, was officially inaugurated at the Silk Road Samarkand International Exhibition Center. The large-scale event brought together representatives of government agencies, international organizations, financial institutions, academia, and the business community to discuss pressing issues related to environmental security, climate resilience, and sustainable development in Central Asia.
Chairman of the Management Board of Zhasyl Damu JSC, Yerzhan Sarsenbay, is participating in ECO EXPO CENTRAL ASIA 2026 as part of the official delegation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Particular attention from participants and visitors was drawn to the National Pavilion of Kazakhstan, which showcases the country's practical achievements in environmental policy, sustainable development, and the implementation of innovative technologies. The exhibition features an automated industrial emissions monitoring system, an early forest fire detection system, projects for recycling plastics, tires, waste paper, and Tetra Pak packaging, the Zhasyl Damu digital platform for climate scenario analysis, advanced waste sorting and waste-to-energy technologies, as well as solutions developed by enterprises operating according to circular economy principles.
The Kazakhstani exhibition reflects the country's consistent efforts to develop environmental infrastructure, reduce negative impacts on the environment, and strengthen international cooperation in the field of sustainable development.
Over the course of three days, forum participants will discuss a wide range of topics, including biodiversity conservation, sustainable water resource management, attraction of green investments, implementation of innovative environmental technologies, digitalization of environmental monitoring, and climate change adaptation.
Kazakhstan’s participation in the forum contributes to promoting national environmental initiatives on the international stage, expanding partnership opportunities, and exchanging best practices in environmental protection. Special emphasis is placed on the development of a green economy, achieving carbon neutrality, and implementing modern environmental solutions.
ECO EXPO CENTRAL ASIA 2026 serves as an important international platform for strengthening regional cooperation and developing joint approaches to addressing contemporary environmental challenges, while creating new opportunities for the sustainable development of Central Asian countries.
