JSC “Zhasyl Damu” provides clarification regarding information circulated in the media concerning contracts with domestic automobile manufacturers

Within the framework of implementing Article 389 of the Environmental Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, JSC “Zhasyl Damu” continues its efforts to refund the utilization fees to domestic manufacturers of vehicles.

The implementation of this mechanism is regulated by the Rules for Stimulating the Production of Environmentally Friendly Motor Vehicles and Their Components, as well as Self-Propelled Agricultural Machinery, approved by a joint order of the authorized state bodies. Within this framework, the Company plans to conclude contracts with Kazakhstani manufacturers.

These include major vehicle manufacturers — LLP “SaryarkaAvtoProm” and LLP “Astana Motors Manufacturing Kazakhstan”, which produce environmentally friendly motor vehicles that comply with the technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union.

The adoption of corporate decisions by JSC “Zhasyl Damu” is driven by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Under the concluded contracts, the Company undertakes obligations to refund previously paid utilization fees to manufacturers, thereby contributing to the development of sustainable technologies, reducing negative environmental impact, and supporting the domestic automotive industry.

JSC “Zhasyl Damu” emphasizes that the conclusion of these agreements is not aimed at the alienation or acquisition of property.
